He was General Director of Issuers and appointed Vice-president of Stock Exchange at the CNBV, where he directed the Amendment to the Securities Market Law, which incorporated for the first time in Mexico rules of corporate governance and the Investment Promotion Corporation, an ideal vehicle for investment of private equity funds.
He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences in Mexico and abroad, on topics related with the regulation of the stock exchange, corporate governance, structured finance, private equity, derivatives and mutual funds.
Attorney at law, on 1993 he obtained a law degree at Universidad La Salle, and obtained a post-graduate degree in obligations and contracts at Escuela Libre de Derecho on 1994, and a master degree in International Banking and Financial Law at Boston University on 1998.
